What is Clinical Supervision?

Clinical supervision is essential for the professional growth of therapists. It provides a platform to discuss difficult cases, debrief, and engage in self-care. Not only is supervision required, but it is also vital for effective practice.

Clinical supervisors play a key role in preparing therapists to offer high-quality therapeutic support. They guide therapists in reflecting on their practices, ensuring clients receive the best possible care while maintaining ethical standards and fulfilling duty of care responsibilities.

Becoming a clinical supervisor is a significant aspect of therapeutic practice. Graduates of this course will be equipped to provide clinical supervision to counsellors, psychotherapists, and hypnotherapists. Completing this supervision training will contribute 10 CPD hours to their professional development

Course structure:

40-hour training program comprised of:

• Self-learning by reading a required text and answering questions.

• Attending the 3 day live on-line training program

• Undertaking practical assessments live-online under the supervision of a Clinical Supervisor and Trainer.

On this course, you will learn:

• How to establish a supervisory relationship

• Understanding requirements of clinical supervision

• Creating boundaries and providing effective feedback

• Managing individual and group dynamics

• Understanding reporting procedures

Participants are required to read a book in preparation for the training titled ‘The Practice of Counselling & Clinical Supervision’, with models of supervision, leadership, and ethical considerations.
